The lovely Tania von Pear has done it again and scored a wicked guest mix for her show on MoS Radio tonight (10pm GMT).
It’s an all girl takeover this evening as she’s secured the services of Danish DJ duo Delecious whose house and electro infused sets have taken their home country and many of Europe’s more glam parties by storm.
You may have caught them out in Ibiza where they’ve held various residencies including the Bay Bar and stints at Privilege and Pacha.
Their website has loads of tasty pics of them, but we thought this one with the comedy moustaches was by far the best(!)
Tune it tonight and check them out on Tania’s Pear Music Live show.

Well the end of yet another week here at Ministry of Sound Radio and it only seems appropriate to bring out the big guns!
Check out the start of the Ministry Weekend from 3pm (UK time) on Ministry of Sound Radio today, as it’s going to be Dave Vega and Chris Bailey double act with a very special interview with the legendary Hector Romero of Def Mix fame – and then from 5pm (UK) we’ve got an incredible Classic Def mix featuring the finest tracks of the last 20 years.
The Def Mix team consists of Hector Romero, David Morales, Frankie Knuckles and Satoshi Tomiie – it doesn’t get much bigger or better than them. And yet somehow we have managed to make the whole package even better as we’ve got 2 copies of the new Def Mix Classics album to give away to celebrate it’s official launch on Monday. Result.

Wicked news in Radio land –our very own Tania Von Pear has got a guest mix on her weekly show tonight from one of the hottest producers at the moment Deadmau5 (Deadmouse – if we’re being direct about how to say it).
This man is rocking it at the moment with support from across the board, including the likes of Pete Tong. Need we say much more, other than fair play to the team from ilikemusic who first tipped me off about Deadmau5 six months ago… since then he’s played here at the club and had fantastic success with his music.
Tania Von Pear tonight (Oct 16) 10pm – 12 GMT Ministry of Sound radio with a very special guestmix from the man of the moment Deadmau5. www.ministryofsound.com/radio
Now that makes up for a nightmare journey into Ministry today…

If you’ve got Windows Vista on your computer, did you know you can download a natty free ‘gadget’ for your desktop so that Ministry of Sound Radio is just one click away? Then you can easily listen to any of the 13 daily shows from the live stream. Or you can select and skip through MoS Radio’s On Demand channels where you can pick exactly what you want to hear, when you want to hear it.
These channels give direct access to the best shows and mixes by genre, including ‘Chill Out’ and the underground ‘Sessions’ mixes, plus a full weekly archive of all MoS Radio’s specialist shows.
What I think is really cool is that you can pause and skip the music forwards and backwards. So you can take a break without missing a monment, or hear a great sequence again and again as many times as you want.
This gadget is a ‘must have’ for anyone with an interest in dance music, whether you’re just curious or a complete music obsessive. So, get downloading!

Rave culture has an unlikely stronghold of support at the very heart of ‘the establishment’. This morning BBC Radio 4 broadcast a very good half-hour documentary on how the Acid House revolution 20 years ago has effected life in the UK.
It follows some other recent largely positive programs including one on the ‘Ecstasy Generation’ reaching 40 and not actually turning out to be a load of washed up, deranged old addicts (as predicted by the tabloids) and former MP Oona King’s own celebration of house music.
I imagine you can ‘listen again’ to those too if you hunt around the R4 website….
t’s great that these sort of programs are being made and can be accessed easliy now, so we don’t just have to put up with the usual scare stories and ‘dance music is dead’ crap.
Today’s prog, Sorted for Es & Whizz’, saw Miranda Sawyer interviewing an interesting collection of scenesters including acid house hero Mr. C and a policeman who said that all their efforts to stop raves were a waste of time(!)
She also comes up with some interesting points on how the ‘going out all night’ culture has come to be a major part of British life now. So even if all those E’ed up idealists who thought they’d change the world by running around hugging random strangers in fields were a little off the mark, there have still been some quite dramatic effects on our social lives.
Rave on Radio 4!

Well, we thought we had the world’s number 1 DJ coming in for a chat and a bit of a mix today, but promoting his new album obviously has top trancer PvD’s diary in a right old pickle as he’s had to re-schedule on us!
He has promised to come on MoS Radio soon though, so we’ll keep you posted on that front.
Meanwhile, if you’re a Microsoft Vista user and you haven’t already done so, you should download the MoS Radio Windows Vista Gadget right this second, to enjoy our live stream and On Demand channels straight off your desktop.
We insisted that everyone in the office do this and they’ve really taken to the idea. The standard of shout out requests remains at the usual smuty joke level though…
