Goldie spills the beans

Drum n bass stalwart Goldie has been in the business long enough to know what’s hot and what’s not.
Forgiving dubious appearances in Eastenders, Clifford Price has barely set a foot wrong since bursting onto the scene all those years ago.
That’s why when the golden child talks the rest pipe down and listen. When Goldie says producers like Sub Wave, Sabre and SPY will soon be top of the pops in the dnb world, you can bet your bottom dollar they will.
Alongside Shy FX and Roni Size, Goldie holds a special place on the dnb scene, a sort of founding father watching young whippersnappers pick up the reigns and taking what he helped create in all sorts of directions.
However the shaven-headed one isn’t ready to pack up his vinyl box just yet, as he told Dogs on Acid, wheels are in motion to celebrate 15-years of the infamous Metalheadz.
“Next year is 15 years of Metalheadz so we have a few projects in the pipeline including a CD, vinyl and DVD package which will be released in the Autumn of 2009 with a massive world tour,” he said.
In addition to a tour, fans can soon look forward to the launch of a new digital label as well as fresh choons put up on the Metalheadz website every four to six weeks.
