A new TV series entitled Wasted, which exposes the levels of drug-abuse in the UK, is to be aired on Current TV from next week.

Determined to show what is going on in our world, the TV channel continues its drive to put on what we consider to be relevant to our lives with this expose of all things drugs.

The show will be a seven-part series revealing the dirty underbelly of substances such as cocaine and how the industry is going from strength to strength.

It will follow drug addicts as they try the cold turkey technique of giving them up and shed new light on the lucrative drugs trade.

The seven programmes, each 90 minutes long, will highlight the dangers of drugs and how they are manufactured.

One such show, entitled Making Cocaine, shows viewers how petrol and ammonia are the two main ingredients in that bag of little white powder they crave, while Ketamine is for Horses highlights the popularity of the horse tranquiliser, the Guardian reports.
