Oakenfold back at Kiss

One of the original superstar DJs, Paul Oakenfold has travelled the length and breadth of the globe delivering musical delights to one and all.
Well now Mr Oakenfold has decided to rewind and come again by signing up to become an ambassador for Kiss radio, the station that put him on the road to dance music infamy many moons ago.
He has been selected by the station for its music for life policy and will join Sam Branson, the son of bearded wonder Richard Branson, as an ambassador for the station.
One of the channel’s original pirate DJs back in 1985, the 44-year-old, who so nearly became a chef back in the day, will present a series of programmes charting the topsy-turvy journey dance music has been on over the last 20 years and will begin with a special Ibiza weekend broadcast at the end of the month.
Andy Roberts, group programme director of the Kiss Radio group, said everybody is chuffed the prodigal son has returned.
“We’re delighted to have Paul back on the station. From the original Kiss lineup on Kiss 100 in 1985 to becoming one of the original superstar DJs - it’s great to get his take on where dance music is now,” he said.
