Fatboy Slim looks at the Rockness festival like it is his child.

The Funk Soul Brother, who played at the first event two years ago, told the Sunday Mail watching 35,000 festivalgoers boogie the night away provided him with an overwhelming sense of achievement and pride, but fear as well.

“It’s incredible how it’s grown since we created it a couple of years ago…It’s like seeing a child go off and grow up. There’s a strange mixture of pride and trepidation at how big it’s become,” he told the newspaper.

The Brighton spinner, who has five Grammy nominations and nine MTV video awards under his belt, said the event will grow until the people of Dores deem it large enough (if such a thing is possible!).

Fatboy wasn’t the only one who rocked the spot as Calvin Harris, Mylo and the View all gave crowds great sets.

On a more sour note, a teenager died at the event on Saturday night, which is the second death since the festival began.
