Top girl DJ Lisa Lashes was rushed to hospital last week after developing a severe infection following a routine operation. Now back at home, the ever-popular jock has been ordered to suspend all gig commitments for the next month, despite being royally pissed off about it!

She apologised to her fans in Wales, Ireland, Korea and England, all destinations she was due to play in the next few weeks. Luckily almost all her shows have been hastily re-arranged so check local press for the new dates.

Lisa usually plays upwards of 200 gigs a year, so is reportedly very disappointed to have to sit at home.

Here’s her statement in full:

To all my fans,
At the start of January I underwent a planned, routine operation. Based upon medical advice, it was expected and hoped that I would have been able to return to the decks from the start of February.

Unfortunately, during the post-op recovery phase I developed a severe infection, which resulted in me being rushed to the hospital’s A&E department in the early hours of Thursday night (31 January). As a result of this and further professional medical advice, it is with deep regret that I am having to suspend all gigs until the start of March.

I am hopeful and confident that with the extra recovery period these cancellations bring, it will enable me to give 100% the next time I play, at the Hard Dance Awards - Sheffield (29 February 2008).

I have not taken this decision lightly and I would like to take this opportunity to apologise to those fans who have been left disappointed. Rest assured, I will be back!
