We’ve just upgraded the player on our download store and think you’ll agree it’s a pretty fantastic leap forward.

Now, just like in an good old fashioned record shop (remember them?), you can listen to all parts of a track before you buy it, dropping a ‘virtual needle’ onto the sections you’d like to hear.

You what? Well, the best way to see how amazing this really is to go and give it a try. You’ll see an accurate waveform of each track, a bit like looking at the grooves in a vinyl record. You can make a playlist of tunes you’d like to check out and cue them all up in the player.

The preview clip starts off with a 2 minute section, which you can just leave alone, clicking tracks directly into your cart if you hear anything you simply have to own… BUT, if you want, you can drop the needle on the record anywhere in the track and listen to a 30 second clip from there.

For DJs this means every breakdown and vocal can be thoroughly vetted before purchase. For all dance lovers it means you can absolutely make sure you’re buying the right mix. No unwelcome surprises from dodgy samples that don’t tell the whole story (like on other download stores!)
