After an ever shortening post-New Year break, Ministry of Sound opens its doors again tonight after some exciting renovations to the club and with a line-up for 2008 that looks set to smash it each and every weekend…

Among the improvements to the venue is the refurbishment of the Lounge Bar, with loads more space for dancing. This room has now been purpose built to provide the best audio/visual clubbing experience, and look out for the interactive space in association with MoS TV too.

The Baby Box has had the bed removed, again to allow maximum space to dance, while up in the VIP, guests can enjoy more seating and more toilets.

The Courtyard, which has proved so popular for allowing smokers to enjoy a cigarette without hassles and overcrowding will be seeing improvements in coming weeks too including some amazing new outdoor visuals.

Huge Events

The big news for 2008 is the residency of Renaissance, who are making Ministry of Sound their London home after 12 years at the now closed Cross. They’ll be throwing 4 huge parties here, kicking off on Feb 16th with Satoshi Tomiie headlining.

Another milestone comes a couple of weeks before that when David Morales returns to the club for the first time in over 5 years. He’ll be celebrating 20 years of Def Mix at Defected In The House, which is going to be a must for all fans of house music.

We also have 2 dates planned for later in the year with the house heavyweight Roger Sanchez.

Our established residencies are all packing a serious punch for the year ahead too, including Mark Knight’s Toolroom Knights (back on 9th Feb with Tom Novy and Wally Lopez) Steve Angello’s Size (celebrating their 2nd Birthday party on Feb 23rd with French uber-star David Guetta) and Sander Kleinenberg’s fantastic This Is, (on March 1st with Radioslave and Lee Coombs).

Having had record numbers through the door last year, we’re feeling very confident that 2008 is going to be the best year yet at Ministry of Sound. See you down here very soon!
