It hadn’t happened for about 10 years….Sasha was playing right here at Minsitry of Sound and we were all seriously excited. Your intrepid MoS TV team were all crossing our fingers hoping it would also be the first time we actually managed to get an interview with him, as he’s notoriously difficult to pin down for such things… Either way I was bringing out my dancing shoes and going to have a party to the legend that is Sasha.

The club was packed full and the vibe was really buzzing, as you’ll see on the video. Everyone was so excited, especially us! Yeeehaaaaaaaa!!!!

Ok, so Sasha proved as illusive as ever when we pulled out our camera (maybe next time eh…) but the night was amazing, the music was fantastic, and we did manage to catch up with Geoff Oakes the founder of Renaissance. What a great guy and what a legend for creating such a fantstic brand. We love you Geoff! It was great chatting to you. (I hope you find a copy of that amazing original Sasha & Digweed Renaissance CD from 1994 that you promised me xxx I just love that classic track Perfect Motion.) If you have not heard that album seek it out now (it was re-released a couple of years back) as it is probably the most amazing 3 disc set ever. It still sounds so good today.

Anyway, Renaissance’s return to Ministry of Sound was a massive success and we had a blast (even without the Sasha interview). Look out for some more very special parties from them at club throughout 2008…

We spent lots of time partying with all you guys who were there and we really had so much fun. Thanks to everyone we met and had a laugh with for such a wicked party - you rock!!

One day, yes one day, we will get that interview!! Make sure you stay tuned to MoSTV to see that day. Maybe we’ll have to corner him on one of his famous boat parties in Miami. Sounds like it would be worth a try to me! Watch this space…
