It’s well deserved back-slapping time in the Ministry of Sound office this week after our Anthems 1991-2008 triple CD ended up selling the most amount of an album we’ve sold in a single week… ever!

Yup, in the big Christmas week, the collection of massive dancefloor classics sold more than Kylie, James Blunt, Girls Aloud, Mika, Whitney Houston and both Radio 1 albums!

This is a wicked result for the team here. Anthems has now sold over 300,000 copies in 6 weeks and has a chance of hitting the number 1 album spot on the chart this week if it can knock off NOW 68…

Meanwhile in DVD land, Ministry of Sound’s Pump It Up Dancemix is well on course for being the number 1 selling fitness DVD, as people flock to shed the festive flab with the help of those amazingly hot dancers.

Right, now we’ve celebrated that success, it’s time to turn our attention to the exciting projects we’ve got lined up for 2008 including Francois K’s Masterpiece CD later this month (out 28th Jan). Watch out for our in-depth interview with the house music legend coming up on the website shortly…
