Filming out latest Clubber’s Guide… show in Paris was a little stressful to say the least. Not because of anything other than the fact that there were strikes all over the show and trying to travel around the city was a serious mission. We stayed in a hotel just in front of the Louvre which was lovely and easy for us to get around by walking.

We met up with DJ Paulette who took us around her adopted home. She is great and full of life! It was so bloody cold and Paulette was ready for this with lots of jumpers and scarves, which was better prepared than us.

Paulette is a very cool chick who’s become a bit of a superstar on the Paris nightlife scene since she moved there. We urge you to check her spinning if she is in your city as she often pops over to the UK and venues around Europe too.

In the Clubber’s Guide she gives some valuable tips to getting the most out of Paris, so if you are going over for a weekend make sure you check out the forthcoming feature on MoSTV as Paulette will tell you what to do and where to go.

With the Trains now going super fast from St Pancras to Paris direct you could do it all in one night. Take the train in the morning, check out Paris and all the sights during the day, have some delicious cheese, bread and wine for supper, then finish it all off with a crazy night of clubbing, don’t bother going to bed and just get the first train back to London in the morning. How cool is that?? One serious day in Paris. Well worth it i think! Only for the crazy energetic bunch of you out there though…

We also noticed this new dance movement called Tektonic which is a big big trend in France. It’s got similar style to the whole Nu Rave thing here, with the colourful dress code and cool hair styles. But kids gather on the streets, everywhere, to do these amazing dance moves. It’s like the breakdance age where you could see people on the streets showing each other’s moves, and in the club we went to that night everyone was dancing like that… or trying.

We were filming at a club called The Mix in Paris as there was a Ministry of Sound Party there. Boy oh boy are we lucky to get to go and hang out at these Ministry parties happening all over the world. The last month has seen us do Amsterdam, Shanghai, Southport and now Paris, phew!
