All those bedroom DJs out there have another chance to be ‘discovered’ as ckone, the fragrance from Calvin Klein, has joined forces with both Kiss and Galaxy radio in a DJ talent competition to find the best new mixing DJ in the UK.

Whoever becomes the ‘ckone’ wins a fully inclusive trip for two to New York (the home of ck), £1,000 spending money, accommodation, a set of Technics decks and DJ software, a slot at a DMC event, a one-off hour long radio show, plus the chance to spend time in the studio with top music producers and have a track released. Which is a pretty cool package.

If you think you’re ‘the one’, just log onto www.areyoutheckone.co.uk and upload your DJing entry (it can showcase anything from mixing to scratching) before the 18th November. Entries will be shortlisted and judged by a panel of music industry experts including hip hop legend Killa Kela, DJ Swerve (Kiss), Andi Durrant (Galaxy), Rafik (DMC World DJ Champion) and Dipesh Parmar (our very own Ministry of Sound A&R).

Ten finalists will be showcased during a 2-hour special ckone radio show on December 9th at 9pm, across the Kiss and Galaxy networks, also featuring interviews with the judges.
