‘God’ himself is coming to the Ministry of Sound this November! That’s right, you guessed it, top DJ and producer, Todd ‘The God’ Terry, will be returning to London after a long absence to promote his new album ‘Strictly Todd Terry’. We can’t wait to have such a legend like Todd back in our midst, this truly is a DJ that needs no hype.

Arguably the inventor of house music, Terry was prolific during the late 80s and early 90s, introducing acid house to America. New York tried to hold onto disco and funk but the Chicago house sound took over. You might be familiar with his remix of Everything But The Girl’s ‘Missing’ or his own hits ‘Keep on Jumpin’ and Something Goin’ On, all released in the mid to late 90s.

He will be gracing us with his presence on 24th November to launch his latest album on label Strictly Rhythm, starring his production team ‘The Todd Terry Allstars’. This consists of 25 DJs handpicked by Terry to produce a compilation of house, funk, electro and old school, including Kenny Dope, DJ Sneak and Little Louie Vega. It features some Terry favourites form the early years of the label as well as his new single ‘Get Down’ featuring ‘My My My’ vocalist Tara McDonald.

‘The God’ will be playing in the main room and supported by house veteran Sandy Rivera. In the bar you will find Defected protégés Copyright and Andy Daniel with Strictly label manager Phil Cheeseman and BBC R1 Xtra’s Aaron Ross playing in the lounge. With such a cracking line-up of old and new talent, the Strictly Rhythm party promises to be a heavenly experience, so get advanced tickets while you can!
