Manchester’s Paradise Factory To Return
Hot news from the people behind Manchester’s hugely successful Warehouse Project (which kicked off at the weekend in their amazing new location, in the old arches underneath Piccadilly Train Station).
Following their 3 month underground residency (literally!), the organisers plan to re-open the legendary Paradise Factory Club, with the first party to be thrown on January 24th 2008.
The venue has been standing empty for a few years now, but it’s glorious past is part of Manchester nightlife folklore. It was originally the home of Factory Records before being turned into a venue by the guy who had previously designed the even-more-legendary Hacienda around the corner.
We’re promised an amazing line-up for the first party and to be honest, with the kind of line-ups already announced for the coming Warehouse Project parties we don’t doubt them.
Anyone going along to this Friday’s party, with Dave Clarke and the in-demand Luciano, can get free Paradise Factory membership from the girls with clipboards on the door. But be warned – only buy tickets from official outlets. A fake ticket scam was operating at last weekend’s live Radio 1 broadcast party that saw over 100 duped people turned away at the door and a police investigation launched. So best not to buy tickets off that dodgy bloke standing behind Sainsbury’s if you want to get in…
