Annie Mac Hits the Road
We’re look forward to one of our favourite Irish female DJs (ok, there aren’t many!) returning with an extravaganza of a UK tour next month. Since we last caught up with her following a set on the Amnesia terrace in Ibiza, Radio One DJ Annie Mac has announced the 2007 line-up for her nation-wide tour Annie Mac Presents, featuring her favourite acts, old and new. Annie is on top form this year, having won ‘Player of the Year Award’ from IDJ mag over Bob Sinclar and Justice, she is a reporter for The Culture Show on BBC 2 and hosted her own arena at Creamfields.
Her Radio One show ‘The Mash Up’, on Friday nights, has become a huge hit, (her slot is on a list of top 10 most listened to again BBC radio shows) having no limits to the kind of music it features, she plays everything from Hip Hop to Indie, Drum and Bass, Electro, Techno….need we go on?!
‘Annie Mac Presents’ has become a club brand to be reckoned with. The tour, a successful sell-out over the last two years, will visit most major cities and their coolest clubs, kicking off in Brighton nightspot, Concorde 2, on Friday 19th October then continuing through till Christmas, ending up in Shivoo, Leicester on 20th December.
This year expect to see guest line-ups from across the board such as Erol Alkan, Simian Mobile Disco, Soulwax, Mylo, Andy C and Klaxons.
Sounds like the shows will be great, so check out Annie’s blog for details of your nearest event and put the date in your diary!
