Expect to see lots of misty-eyed old ravers dusting off their baggy trousers next year and celebrating 20 years(!!) since the birth of the acid house revolution in the UK - the famous ‘second summer of love’.

In fact, commemorations have already started (any excuse for a party eh?) as it’s already 20 summers since Paul Oakenfold, Danny Rampling and the rest took that infamous holiday in Ibiza, went to Amnesia, dropped some pills and came back intent on changing the world.

They certainly changed youth culture forever, but who’d have thought at the time that these bug-eyed dancing loons would be chatting to The Observer newspaper about it all these years later?! Check out yesterday’s article here:

It doesn’t go into much depth, but it’s still interesting to hear the founding fathers speak about those days, that went on to become dance music history.

If you’re interested in finding out more, expect them to be doing the rounds as Oakie has a biography out soon, Rampling and Nicky Holloway have a mix CD, and of course Amnesia’s legendary DJ Alfredo has already put together the highlight of this summer in his double CD for Ministry of Sound that the recordings team are more than a little chuffed about!
