A very funny series of videos has been cropping up on YouTube and MySpace featuring an interview with a wedding DJ called Clive Rudloe.

In each one, Clive explains how he is unquestionably the ‘best DJ in the world’! Everything from his skill on the decks to his way with the ladies (and making balloon animals!) is spoken about in his plummy accent.

Clive really does believe he is better than any other living person at wowing a crowd, although it’s unlikely he’s even heard of DJs like Carl Cox and Tiesto, let alone knows the sort of mega-gigs they play.

Trance dons Above & Beyond have been using Clive’s comically deluded interviews to promote the slogan, ‘should have voted for Above & Beyond’. But the question remains, who is the mysterious Clive – have any of you heard him DJ? Did he get the grannies on their feet with his medley of hits from the 40s?

Whether amused (or confused) clubbers will actually vote Clive into the running in this year’s DJmag Top 100 poll remains to be seen.
